The discovery of Mortifera and its naming
In 1971 astronomers noticed a change in course and speed of an asteroid that had been heading towards our solar system for decades.
Scientist began to predict that the asteroid was on a collision course with Earth and would impact approximately 2020. Over the next 20 years it became clear the size of the asteroid would in fact wipe out almost all of earth’s population and likely re shape the surface of the planet completely.
the US and Russians along with other super powers began side projects to design nuclear war heads capable of traveling through our Ozone directed at the asteroid that was then named A7120202kmp
In 2010 the asteroid again increase speed as it’s drew nearer to our solar systems gravitational pall.
From there on it was known that the asteroid would impact earth in 2020 and would wipe out most of the population. Scientist re named the asteroid Mortifera, Latin for the "The bearer of death".
Efforts to produce nuclear war heads to potentially destroy Mortifera became priority number 1.
However Scientist made another terrifying discovery in 2012 Mortifera's speed was continuously growing and impact would in fact be 2017.
The warhead production was in full swing and by 2016 175 missiles where on launch pads around the world ready to be fire at Mortifera,
in the Spring of 2017 a somewhat 2 weeks before expected impact governments around the world began to make the public announcements of Mortifera and their plans to defend earth from it.
Chaos swept the world as fear and panic took hold. On May 28th 2017 the final broadcast before the nukes were sent went out.
From the head of the EU he spoke "Today we will launch our missiles into the sky and then prey that nothing returns ".
Predication claimed that there was a 96% chance that the nukes themselves would cause serious damage to our ozone and debris would fall to earth but to what extent could not be predicted.
The entire world watched as the launch began.
